Event Application and Equipment Hire
It is mandatory for all Guild-affiliated clubs to fill out an event application form and receive approval before proceeding with their event.
You can also hire event equipment including lawn games or trestle tables for your event through the event application form below.
The event application form requires for you to submit an events budget with your application. Please see our Clubs Event Budget Template below.
Stall Tablecloth Hire
Hire a tablecloth for your Murdoch Markets stall or for your event! Improve the look of your stall by hiring a tablecloth for free.
You can head to the Murdoch Guild Secondhand Bookshop at Amenities Building 490, from 9am – 4pm Mon- Fri (teaching weeks), to hire a black tablecloth. Each tablecloth requires a $10 cash deposit. Simply head to the bookshop, give your cash deposit and collect a tablecloth. Your cash deposit will be returned when you return the tablecloth.
Event Budget
All successful events start with a solid budget. To ensure that you are profitable or maintaining healthy club finances, you will need to create a detailed event budget for every event.
Event Funding and Reimbursements
Clubs are able to apply for funding towards events hosted on and off campus in 2024. Funding comes under the Guild Club Funding where clubs can claim up to $1500 per year for club items and activities. Please note that we encourage for event catering to be at $11 per person.
Sausage Sizzle Fundraising Packages
One of the best ways to fundraise for your club is to host a sausage sizzle on campus! If you are a Murdoch Guild registered club, you are able to loan our BBQs for free if you purchase a Sausage Sizzle package.
BBQ Sausage Sizzle Packages
- Regular Sausage Sizzle Package includes 90 halal beef sausages, 10 vegan sausages, 100 hotdog buns, slices onions, cooking oil and tomato, mustard and BBQ sauces.
- Vegan Sausage Sizzle Package includes 100 vegan sausages, 100 hotdog buns, slices onions, cooking oil and tomato, mustard and BBQ sauces.
For Murdoch Guild registered clubs, purchasing a sausage sizzle package also gets you free hire of our 2 BBQs including all cooking, food prep and cleaning equipment, 2 marquees, trestle tables and EFTPOS machine.
Our BBQ packages are available on Murdoch Market dates and times only (which is every Thursday, 10am – 2pm on teaching weeks). Murdoch Markets are held on Bush Court. If you would like to hire the BBQs for your club event, you can do so by emailing the Projects Team at projects@murdochguild.com.au.
TIP: We highly recommend that you have at least 4 club members including yourself (2 to cook, 2 to serve) present at the sausage sizzle. All club members hosting a sausage sizzle will also need to submit City of Melville’s I’m Alert Food Safety Certificate and submit it to the Guild prior to the event.
See ‘Murdoch Markets Events Stall Bookings’ tab above for dates.
Fill out the BBQ Packages enquiry form below to get a quote and book in your interested dates. Please note that only club presidents can fill out the form with their QPAY login.
